    3. How do I subscribe to a Message Board Forum Listserv? - Top

    By default, anyone who posts to a message board forum is automically subscribe and will receive copies of all replies.

    If you have not posted to a message board forum, but would to recieve copies of discussions: logon, select the message board forum you wish to subscribe to, and click on the "Subscribe to this forum" link located at the top right hand corner of your screen. - Updated: March 7, 2005

    4. I have a topic that I'd like feedback on from my course colleagues. How do I post a message? - Top

    If your topic is related to a particular course being offered, logon, then go to that course and click on the "Student Message Board". Click on "Add a new discussion topic" and complete the required fields.

    If your topic is not course related, logon and locate the "Main Menu" section of the community and click on "Message Board Forums". Click on "Add a new discussion topic" and complete the required fields. - Updated: March 7, 2005

    5. I have a question that I'd like to ask the class instructor? How do I contact him/her? - Top

    Each course lists the instructor's name and email address. You should email the instructor directly at address provided. - Updated: March 7, 2005

    6. What options do I have if I can't finish my course? - Top

    If you cannot finish a self-paced course, you can unenroll. You can re-enroll at a later time. Note: all course requirements must be completed by the close of the current course year in order to receive your certificate of completion. - Updated: February 22, 2005

    No, the self-paced courses are "asynchronous," meaning that they do not require participants to attend class on a set schedule. You may do your work online at any time of day or night, 7 days a week.

    You have several options:

    1. Contact your instructor directly to discuss your challenges or,

    2. Participate in scheduled course discussion forums and chats

    3. Engage your distance learning partners in discussion using the your off-line group email discussion list and/or online course message board forums. - Updated: October 6, 2005

    11. I'm unable to attend the real-time seminars, is there a self-paced version? - Top

    Yes, participating in the self-paced seminar training modules is simple. Login to the VBO Community:

    1. Go to the "Courses" section,
    2. Select your courses of interest by clicking on its link
    3. Follow instructions to complete the enrollment process.

    Note: if you do not enroll into a course, you will not be able to access the self-paced training modules or course materials. - Updated: February 4, 2005
