You're interested in learning a profession where all your work will be done virtually. We believe in training students in the environment in which they will ultimately work, either as a self-employed virtual business owner or teleworker.
The real-time seminars are conducted live online in a virtual classroom where instructors and students alike communicate in real-time using a technology called (VOIP) voice-over-Internet protocol. Additionally, we introduce you to all sorts of technology that will allow you to collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with your clients. No longer is it necessary for you to only communicate via email, phone and fax, and we share with you the kinds of technology easily available to you that you'll want to integrate into your virtual business, and that will help you wow your clients on a consistent basis! - Updated: October 7, 2004
The Virtual Business Owners Training Program (VBOtp) is a highly intensive, seven day seminar series designed to introduce and guide you in becoming successful as a Virtual Business Owner (VBO). We accomplish this using synchronous and asynchronous learning, individual and peer-group mentoring, disscussion groups, and activities. The VBOtp is designed to :
1. train students in the environment in which they will ultimately work, either as a self-employed virtual business owner or, teleworker
2. connect participants to the information and resources needed to successfully start, grow, and manage a virtual business.
Topics taught are not things like learning to type, filing 101, or intro to web design, or learning to install a specific software package. The topics covered in our seminars are more important than those, and more subtle. We cover topics that will sustain you in your virtual business and in relationships with your clients regardless of the specific service or product you provide them.
We help participants to understand virtual business ownership and also spend time helping you understand the importance of business planning. - Updated: October 7, 2004
